Axiomer® RNA editing technology harnesses ADAR (Adenosine Deaminase Acting on RNA), which is machinery present in all human cells to repair G-to-A mutations, modulate protein, and enable protective mutation functions. Axiomer could potentially yield a new class of innovative medicines and treat currently untreatable diseases.

Our Facility department is currently looking for an Assistant Facilities (32-40 hours) to join our team.

The Facilities department is responsible for EHS, events and all hard and soft services at ProQR Headquarters. We are a team (currently 6 persons) that acts in the interest of ProQRians. 

As an Assistant Facilities, your main tasks are:

Be accountable:

  • Ordering, receiving, booking and delivering orders and goods
  • Sending incoming and outgoing mail and packages
  • Workplace management: taking care of the working environment to the right activities and the needs of employees, in the office building. With the aim: to facilitate a healthy, sustainable working environment.
  • Ensuring a tidy working environment, preparing meeting rooms and being the first point of contact for facility questions

Be responsible:

  • Checking, ordering and replenishing the available stock of lab consumables
  • Removal of chemical waste and replacement of lab coats for laundry ML1 & ML2 labs

To support:

  • Support onboarding of new hires
  • Facilities support to our neighbors, Innoser and Peregrion

Location: Leiden, NL (on-site).


We expect our Assistant Facilities to have:

  • MBO + 2 years working experience
  • Experience with hospitality concepts and supporting other peers
  • Proven affinity with working with different people
  • Maintain vendor relationships
  • Experience in- or affinity to organize stock
  • Execute logistical tasks
  • Experience with MS Office and computer (software) skills
  • The ability to multitask
