Axiomer® RNA editing technology harnesses ADAR (Adenosine Deaminase Acting on RNA), which is machinery present in all human cells to repair G-to-A mutations, modulate protein, and enable protective mutation functions. Axiomer could potentially yield a new class of innovative medicines and treat currently untreatable diseases.

Our Facility department is currently looking for a Coordinator Laboratories (Full-time) to join our team.

The Facilities department is responsible for EHSS, events and all hard and soft services at ProQR Headquarters. We are a team (currently 6 persons) who act in the interest of ProQRians. As Coordinator Laboratories you are chair of the lab management team (LMT) and in close contact with the lab managers. Also, you are the SPOC and SME for lab responsible persons (LRP). Together we make sure all our 31 labs are “state of the art” and well organized.

As coordinator you are in direct contact with a variety of vendors, and you arrange maintenance and validation of our laboratory equipment. You will be coordinating all general working conditions within the laboratories, varying from creating lab cleaning schedules, facilitating waste flows, HVAC maintenance, maintaining and writing general SOP’s (standard operating procedures) and vendor contract management. All-in-all, it is a diverse job in a dynamic environment, where you will fulfill a central role in creating well organized labs, so our researchers and scientists can focus on the science.

Location: Leiden, NL (on-site).

We expect our Coordinator Laboratories to have:

• HLO degree or MLO with 2 years of working experience
• experience with working in laboratories
• proven affinity with working with different people
• Manage vendor relationships
• experience in- or affinity to organize and coordinate
• the ability to work in a team for our laboratory co-workers
